The Western Class Championship Tournament has been one of the largest chess events in Los Angeles for the past 27 years. Here are some performance highlights from the Angeleno Chess Club among the hundreds of participants at the event:

SOLE CHAMPION: SUREN MIKOYAN (image above)
Under 1800 USCF, 4.5/5 points

3RD PLACE: SHREYAS SAKHARKAR
Under 1600 USCF

TOP 5 RESULT: NATHAN THOMAS
Under 1600 USCF. Nathan is in 3rd grade!

CLASS E TOP 5 RESULT: BRIAN KLOCK

February 10th was a great day for the Angeleno Chess Club! Our students won 6 Individual Trophies, 3 Team Trophies and 2 students got a full scholarship to the State Championship by winning their sections at the LA SuperCities competition. Congratulations to all who participated. A special thank you to Assistants Brian and Movses for your selfless work!
